We apologize....website was down for awhile. Hopefully fixed and back up and running now!
The walleye bite continues to be exceptional. Through this past Monday, one thing that did change, was the water clarity off the west side of Catawba. From H Can down inside, clear out to E & F
Cans, the NW wind dirtied it up. The good bite for many was back up on the Canadian Line. Starting on the west side of Kellys and working up to the line was the only place to be yesterday and today as well. If you are fishing the next couple of days, you may want to try up the middle between the Bass Islands and Kellys and North from there. Trollers are pulling Bandits, Spoons and worm harnesses. All are working. 1.8 -2.2 has been best speed for Bandits and Spoons, while worm harnesses are working at various speeds. Purples, Pinks and Antifreeze colors have been best. The spoon bite will only get better as the summer goes along. Again, purples, pinks, and some gold variations with colors have been best. There have been a few reports of perch limits, but for the most part, we're hearing anywhere from a handful to 10 perch being caught by walleye fisherman that are limiting out. The perch that are being caught are big. There are not a lot of small to average size perch being caught as of yet.
